Probable
Privacy policy
Short version: Probable does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Your Plausible API keys live in your device's Keychain. Analytics queries go directly from your device to the Plausible server you configured.
What Probable stores on your device
When you add a site, Probable persists:
- The base URL of the Plausible instance you supplied.
- The site domain you supplied.
- A display name you chose.
- Your Plausible API key, stored in the iOS Keychain.
- Optionally, cached snapshots of recent stats so the dashboard renders instantly when you re-open the app.
All of the above stays on your device (and, if you enable iCloud Keychain or device backup, with Apple, under their terms). None of it is sent to the Probable developer or to any third party.
Network traffic
Probable communicates directly with the Plausible server you configure ā that's it. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no telemetry, no advertising network, no remote configuration service.
The home-screen widget extension uses the same Plausible server you configured. The configuration UI also uses Apple's App Intent system, which runs on your device.
Permissions
Probable requests Face ID or Touch ID only if you explicitly enable the optional app lock in Settings. Biometric data never leaves the device ā Probable simply asks iOS to verify it's you.
Children
Probable is a developer tool. It is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this URL with an updated "Last revised" date below. Material changes (for example, if a future version were to introduce telemetry) will also be called out in the app's release notes.
